Dad was such a character ,could captivate a room the moment he walked in, always full of fun,kind ,caring and would do anything for any one. A larger than life personality known where ever he went for his pipe and shorts, i always remember chris being on a golf course in germany and got talking to a fella who recognised the midland accent, said he knew a man there, Bill.....yes, it was Dad !
He had a full and happy life for which we are thankful we were part of and shared in.

Christopher Miles Crowden ( WO1 9/12L MBE) 11-04-1947 / 26-02-2008
Chris was a soldier ! from Aden 1963 to main building 2002 but behind that tough exterior was a family man who adored his kids and they him,after giving so much to so many he had hoped to enjoy the finer things in life and a long and blissfull retirement with time to spend at home with the family, sadly that was not to be and after a cruel illness so bravely fought he lost the final battle.
He will always be remembered with love and the children will show the same courage as he did as they continue along the pathways in life he set for them and make him truly proud of them as we all were of him.

Aimee Natasha Crowden 10-03-1985 / 04-08-2011
Aimee died instantly when her car crashed in Ashby on her way home.
Aimee was a beautiful young woman, so full of joy and happiness, her life was just begining and she was so happy, she had a great job, a loving boyfriend, and the feedom of the road in her little car.
She has left behind, her mum, and her two brothers we are totally devastated and miss her so very very much, we will never get over losing you sweetheart, safe in your beloved dads arms once more. love you xxx

Over a year since ive been here Dad but that doesnt mean i dont think about you every day and also chris, but i cant believe im writing that my darling daughter Aimee is now safe in heaven with you both, i never thought for one minute i would ever lose her so suddenly and so tragically, my heart is shattered, i miss her so very very much, my only consilation is that she is with her beloved dad and her grandad, i have never in my life felt such pain and hurt as i do now, she was so very precious, my only daughter, please love and keep her safe.

well chris hard to believe 2 years have passed since you left us, still seems like yesterday, the kids especially Aimee have found it all so very hard but have done you proud and are getting on well now. we will never forget you and we have such lovely memories as well as the nightmare ones lol, well we have to be honest ay lifes not always a bed of roses.

well, both another xmas without you, you are so loved and so missed, as you know we have a lovely little addition to our family, dad you would have made a fantastic great grandad, and chris i hope you are so proud of aimee, she has struggled with so much since you left us but bless her she never fails to pick herself up amd carry on, and jc hes turning into an amazing young man, mature, thoughtful, caring and a very proud lancer cadet lol, and colin, a soldier to be proud of, brave and looking after us all.
Im heartbroken hes to return to the sandpit, plese please look over him , and see him home safe, and tell Gaz , let him know your at his side once more.

Well as you both know Aimee and Charlie are engaged, i know you have both given your blessing but send aimee a little sign to let her know you are near.
I will make sure all her wedding plans happen as i know you would have chris,
Jc got his one star and first stripe at cadets im sure you are very proud of him.
I just wish you wre both still here to be a part of all the celebrations, but i take comfort in knowing you are with us always, go party with the lads, have a good weekend, sending love and angel hugs to you all xxxxx
Hard to believe the boys, Rob,John and Aaron left us 2 years ago, dad and chris take care of them this weekend , the boys will be heartbroken to see their families heartbreak, comfort them, and tell them we will be there for their loved ones.

well dad it stil seems like yesterday, i can remember it all, you left us so suddenly when you had so much to live for, but i know now that you were needed to be there waiting for all our precious boys and girls,to comfort them,and care for them.
